SA3W is a tape wound toroidal current transformer supplied without a moulded housing, which keeps the outside dimensions to a minimum. It suits retrofits and OEM assemblies where the transformer has to fit an envelope that already exists.
The core is wound and taped, then finished with insulated flying leads so it can be terminated wherever the assembly requires. Core size, turns ratio and lead length are all set at manufacture.
