SA5030 is an epoxy encapsulated current transformer with a 50 × 30 mm rectangular window, sized to pass a standard busbar section without additional support.
Encapsulation seals the winding against moisture and dust and adds mechanical strength, which makes the unit tolerant of the vibration found in switchgear. The rating plate carries the ratio, burden, accuracy class and polarity marking.
